Health insurance
Students within the EU area should bring with them basic EU health insurance from their own county – the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). For additional types of insurance (accident insurance, etc.) they may enter one of international health insurance schemes (e.g. CORIS, Vzajemna) in Slovenia. International students are advised to make a copy of their health insurance and leave it by their Erasmus+ cooerdinator, friends, mentor, etc., in case of an accident.
NON-EU students
Students should be properly insured already at the time of obtaining a residence permit (while still at home). They must get health insurance that covers the EU area or only Slovenia. Students from countries that have signed a special social and health insurance agreement with Slovenia may take the opportunity of that. International students are advised to make a copy of their health insurance and leave it by their Erasmus+ cooerdinator, friends, mentor, etc., in case of an accident.
